Introduction
Jacqueline Kiefel, PhD, joined Children's Healthcare of Atlanta as a pediatric neuropsychologist in 1998. Dr. Kiefel earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Texas. Following her undergraduate studies, she received a master's degree and doctoral degree in clinical psychology with a neuropsychology specialization from City University of New York. Dr. Kiefel then completed a neuropsychology/psychology internship through Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York City followed by a pediatric neuropsychology fellowship through Nationwide Children's Hospital (formally Children’s Hospital) in Columbus, Ohio.
In her spare time, Dr. Kiefel enjoys reading, biking, traveling and hiking with the family dog.

Dr. Kiefel's primary clinical and research interests include assessing the cognitive and behavioral trajectories of outcomes in patients with Duchenne and/or Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. She has an active research program that focuses on this specialty interest.
