Introduction
Dr. Nikhil Chanani has been with Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Cardiology since 2010. He originally grew up in Los Angeles. He completed his undergraduate studies in Economics and Biology at Stanford University. Dr. Chanani then attended medical school at Harvard Medical School, followed by a Pediatrics Residency and Pediatric Cardiology fellowship at University of California, San Francisco. He then completed additional clinical training in cardiac intensive care at Lucile Packard Children’s Hospital at Stanford University. Dr. Chanani is also the Medical Director of Quality and Outcomes for the Cardiac Service Line. He is also an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. His research interests include the use of machine learning, novel technological solutions, clinical research, novel drug therapies and multi-center research projects. He collaborates regularly with faculty from both Georgia Tech and Emory University. He is also involved multiple safety and quality committees for the hospital system. Dr. Chanani is also involved with multiple national committees for pediatric cardiac critical care. Dr. Chanani lives in the Atlanta area with his wife and three sons. Their free time is spent watching Atlanta United and playing tennis.
