Introduction
Nandini Govil, MD, MPH, joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University in 2019. Dr. Govil is double board-certified in otolaryngology-head and neck surgery and complex pediatric otolaryngology. She currently serves as Co-Director of the Hearing Loss Program at Children’s and Clinical Research Director within the Division of Pediatric Otolaryngology.
Dr. Govil came to Atlanta by way of Pittsburgh, Pa., where she completed a fellowship in pediatric otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center/Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh. Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Govil earned a medical degree from New York University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in otolaryngology at the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center. Dr. Govil also received her Master of Public Health from the New York University Global Institute of Public Health.
Dr. Govil has experience and interests in the field of pediatric otolaryngology, including but not limited to cholesteatoma, cochlear implants, bone anchored hearing implants, endoscopic ear surgery, hearing loss, sinusitis, as well as head and neck masses.
In her spare time, you will find Dr. Govil traveling the world, reading, cooking, doing yoga and hiking.

Dr. Govil is involved in multiple research projects and has published in major peer-reviewed medical journals in otolaryngology. Her research interests include pediatric otology, psychosocial effects of pediatric hearing loss, congenital and acquired hearing loss, cost-effectiveness, health outcomes, global public health.
