Introduction
Michael Fundora, MD, is originally from New York where he attended New York University Stern School of Business. He received his bachelor’s degree in finance and marketing and worked in investment banking, before deciding to go to medical school. He moved to Miami where he received a post-baccalaureate from the University of Miami and attended medical school at St. George’s University School of Medicine. He returned to Miami for pediatric residency at Nicklaus Children’s Hospital and stayed to complete his pediatric cardiology fellowship focused on quality improvement and clinical research. He completed his critical care fellowship at Boston Children’s Hospital where he continued his work on quality improvement in the intensive care unit. Dr. Fundora has combined his passion for children’s health and his interest in process management to deliver care that is safe, efficient and cost effective. The best part of Dr. Fundora’s job is taking care of children and interacting with families. He enjoys thinking through physiology and teaching residents and fellows. During his free time, Dr. Fundora enjoys hiking, jogging, and spending time with his wife and two children.
