Introduction
Dr. Cilloniz was born and raised in Lima, Peru, making him fluent in Spanish. He attended medical school in Peru at Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, then moved to the U.S. in 2004 for residency training. He completed a general pediatrics residency and a pediatric pulmonology fellowship at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. He graduated in 2010 and has been practicing pediatric pulmonology since. His areas of interest include asthma, technology/ventilators, and exercised-related respiratory problems.
Dr. Cilloniz is married and has two children. He has played soccer his entire in life and still plays to this day. In fact, he has played for the United States Medical Soccer Team since 2013. The team participates every year at the World Medical Football Championship to compete against medical soccer teams from countries all over the world. He also enjoys snowboarding, mountain biking, and motorsports in his free time.
