Julia Jones, a long-time leader in the Atlanta healthcare community, is Vice President, Operations, Hughes Spalding. Under her leadership, a new facility for Children’s at Hughes Spalding has helped enhance the level of care patients receive while maintaining vital community programs.
Jones has had numerous key positions in the DeKalb medical community since 1984, most recently serving as Administrator and Vice President of DeKalb Medical Center at Hillandale, a 100-bed, all-digital, general acute care hospital. Jones earned her Bachelor of Science in Health Systems at Georgia Institute of Technology and her Masters in Business Administration from Georgia State University.
A native of Georgia, Jones plays an active role in her community, having served as a member of the Rotary Club of South DeKalb, the DeKalb Library Foundation Board, Leadership Georgia and the American College of Healthcare Executives. She currently serves as a member of the Georgia Physician Workforce Board.
She and her husband, Bernard, live in Decatur with their two children.
