ATLANTA (September 3, 2012) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is pleased to welcome Sayan De, M.D. and David Popoli, M.D. to its Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine programs.
Dr. De is an orthopaedic surgeon with a medical degree from Emory University. He completed his orthopaedic surgery residency at the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center and followed with a fellowship in pediatric orthopaedic surgery at Children’s Hospital Colorado. Dr. De is a member of the Pediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America. His areas of interest include management of neuromuscular disorders, musculoskeletal infection and orthopaedic trauma.
Dr. Popoli joins Children’s as a primary care sports medicine physician and works at the Children’s at Fayette location. He received his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine and completed his residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at Harvard University/ Spaulding Rehabilitation Hospital in Boston, Mass. Dr. Popoli completed his fellowship in pediatric sports medicine at Boston Children’s Hospital. He is a member of the Association of Academic Physiatrists, American Academy of Physical Medicine and Rehab, American College of Sports Medicine and American Medical Society for Sports Medicine. Dr. Popoli is board certified in physiatry, and his areas of interest include overuse injuries, concussion, injury prevention, adaptive sports, running injuries, and dance medicine.
The Orthopaedic and Sports Medicine programs at Children's offer comprehensive services at multiple locations throughout Metro Atlanta.
