Children's Opens Strong4Life Teaching Garden

Our Strong4Life Teaching Garden at Children’s at Scottish Rite is an important part of therapy for our patients. Child life and rehab specialists lead classes and activities in the garden throughout the year. The garden offers rehab patients the chance to get outside, relieve stress and improve range of motion in a supportive environment with groups of their peers.  Classes and activities for patients will be led by child life and rehab specialists throughout the year.

Children’s collaborated with Farmer D Organics, an environmentally friendly company that creates farms, gardens and organic products throughout Atlanta, to develop the garden. All plants in the garden are organic and treated with Farmer D Organics products. The Strong4Life Teaching Garden is a place where patients and their families can go to relax and learn about nutrition and organic gardening.
