Children aren’t just small adults. That’s why we offer a different standard of care at Children’s—our pediatric-trained doctors, nurses, technicians and other medical professionals care for children every day, using specialized pediatric transplant medical procedures, supplies and equipment.
- Our pediatric anesthesiologists are specially trained to give anesthesia to infants, children and teenagers
- All oxygen masks, blood pressure cuffs and other devices are sized for infants, teenagers and all ages in between
- A 4-to-1 patient-to-nurse ratio ensures that children get the attention they need and deserve
- Multidisciplinary care teams work together to make the child and family as comfortable and relaxed as possible. In addition to pediatric transplant medical staff, these teams include child life specialists, social workers and school teachers.
