Credentialing Research Staff

For non-Children's employees:

1. Requirements:

  • Applicant must be at least 18 years of age
  • May be required to pass criminal background check
  • May be required to pass drug screen

2. Process: 

  • Complete the top portion of the Credentialing Checklist
  • Scan completed form and email to Barbara Kilbourne (404-712-8356) and to Meiling Arounnarath in HR (404-785-7792)
  • If patient records or patient contact are involved, the following may also be needed: 
    • Completed and signed form for clinical background check
    • Drug screen (HR will schedule appointment with Occupational Health)
    • Immunization records
    • Attendance in Day 1 of Children's New Employee Orientation (NEO)

Children's Credentialing Services department is responsible for: 

  • Processing initial appointments and reappointments for physicians and allied health professionals in accordance with the Joint Commission and NCQA guidelines 
  • Hospital and managed care affiliation verification
  • Facilitation of delegated credentialing audits for managed care plans that contract with Children's and TCHN
