Major Gifts

Your investment in Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta can change the quality of pediatric care and save countless children's lives in the state of Georgia. A major gift gives you the chance to make a profound difference and to meet other dedicated donors and physicians working toward the same goal. See an example of our special events for major donors.

As you consider how to designate your major gift, our staff is here to assist. We can help you explore how your generosity can speed research from the laboratory to the bedside; train tomorrow’s physicians; purchase leading-edge pediatric equipment and expand Children’s reach throughout Atlanta.

Dr. Leila Denmark was an extraordinary person who dedicated her life to caring for children. When Dr. Denmark died in 2012 at the age of 114, she bequeathed funds to Children's to establish an endowment to provide for ongoing physician education. As a result, The Dr. Leila Denmark Physician Education Endowment was established.

The Stephens Family has generously stepped forward with a matching challenge, made in honor of Dr. Denmark, who saved the life of a sibling. The Stephens will match dollar for dollar up to $55,000 all gifts made in Dr. Denmark's honor, bringing the endowment to full funding and furthering the legacy of this extraordinary individual who touched the lives of so many children.
