As a not-for-profit organization, Children's relies on volunteers to keep all of our services and operations running smoothly, whether that's through fundraising or performing tasks for our clinical staff so they can focus on caring for patients. While we need people to play and interact with patients and their families, we also need volunteers behind the scenes to work within various departments performing organizational tasks, administrative duties and providing support for special events.
As members of the Administrative Volunteer Program, volunteers are assigned to departments through internships throughout the organization, including Child Health Promotion, Human Resources, Family Support Services and Marketing. Teams within these areas need assistance ranging from filing paperwork to researching issues that impact kids.
The extra support volunteers provide in this capacity allow our staff to take on more responsibilities, and in turn help more children. Administrative volunteers are viewed as an extension of our teams here at Children’s and an integral part of what we do.
