Introduction

Dr. Khemani joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University as a researcher in the blood and marrow transplant (BMT) division in November 2015. She came to Georgia from Little Rock, Ark., where she completed a three-year fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Arkansas Children's Hospital/University of Arkansas Medical Sciences.

Prior to her fellowship, Dr. Khemani earned a medical degree from Saba University School of Medicine, followed by residency training in Pediatrics at William Beaumont/Oakland University School of Medicine in Royal Oak, Mich.

Dr. Khemani has interests in the field of pediatric BMT with special interest in late-effects post-transplant. Dr. Khemani feels privileged to have the opportunity serve her patients and their families.

In her spare time, Dr. Khemani enjoys volunteering at a refugee clinic (The Grace Village in Clarkston, Ga.), traveling, swimming and spending time with her daughter and husband. Although she grew up in Asia, she is excited to call Atlanta her new home.
