Traumatic Brain Injury Research

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta provides care to one of the largest outpatient populations of Traumatic Brain Injury (TBI) patients in the world. As a result, Children’s is uniquely poised to study this population to advance global care for children. Our mission is to facilitate research that can improve the treatment and outcomes of TBI in children. This research will collect data and biomarkers from over 10,000 people in the next 10 years, creating the largest comprehensive biorepository in the world. This should have significant and far-reaching implications for future pediatric traumatic brain injury patients.
