Introduction
Matt Paden, MD, is a Critical Care Medicine Physician at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Professor of Pediatrics in the Division of Pediatric Critical Care Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. He currently serves as Director of ECMO and Advanced Technologies at Children’s and is the past president and board member of the Extracorporeal Life Support Organization (ELSO).
Dr. Paden's clinical and research interests relate to the use of advanced technologies, including extracorporeal membrane oxygenation (ECMO), apheresis and continuous renal replacement therapies (CRRT) in critically ill children. His translational research focus includes KIDSCRRT, a NIH and FDA-funded novel device for CRRT in children, as well as the development of other pediatric medical devices.
