Introduction
Dr. Raikar is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. He is a member of the Leukemia/Lymphoma Program as well as the Cell and Gene Therapy Program at the Aflac Cancer Center. Additionally, he is a member of the Discovery and Developmental Therapeutics Research Program at Winship Cancer Institute of Emory University.
Dr. Raikar earned his medical degree from St. Louis University School of Medicine in St. Louis, Mo., where he also completed his residency in pediatrics. He completed his fellowship in pediatric hematology/oncology at Emory University School of Medicine.
Research
Dr. Raikar's research interest is in the field of immunotherapy and leukemia, specifically developing chimeric antigen receptors (CAR) to target T-cell malignancies. He also has a special interest in mixed phenotypic acute leukemia (MPAL).
