Introduction
Dr. Miller is a Pediatric Hematologist/Oncologist at the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. Prior to joining Children’s in 2017, she served as an attending in the Division of Oncology at the Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, where she was also on the faculty at the Center for Pediatric Clinical Effectiveness and was a member of the Department of Biomedical and Health Informatics.
Dr. Miller earned her medical degree from the Yale University School of Medicine and her Master of Science in clinical epidemiology from the University of Pennsylvania. She completed her internship and residency, as well as her fellowship, in pediatric hematology/oncology at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Dr. Miller primarily cares for children with leukemia and lymphoma. She is honored to have the privilege of caring for these patients and their families. Through research efforts, she hopes that she can help improve quality of life for children undergoing therapy.
Research
Dr. Miller's research focuses on understanding adverse events experienced by patients undergoing treatment for cancer and on supportive care practices in order to improve daily clinical care of and guidance for children with cancer. Her primary research focuses on improving the current system of reporting of adverse events of therapy for pediatric cancer using informatics techniques in order to enhance how clinical trials are performed and obtain a more accurate understanding of rates of adverse events.
