Introduction
Guojun Zhang, MD, is a board-certified Pediatric Epileptologist and Neurologist. Prior to joining Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Dr. Zhang held faculty positions at Children’s Hospital of Orange County–University of California Irvine, Children’s Hospital of San Antonio– Baylor College of Medicine and Upstate Medical University. Dr. Zhang had extensive training in epilepsy at Beijing University in China, Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia–University of Pennsylvania, Children’s Wisconsin–Medical College of Wisconsin and Children’s Hospital of Orange County–University of California Irvine.
Throughout his career, Dr. Zhang has developed the Pediatric Epilepsy/Epilepsy Surgery Program and served as Director of the Pediatric Epilepsy Program . He also created periodic clinical teaching for pediatric epilepsy monitoring unit (EMU) nurses and EEG technologists, as well as the didactic lecture for child neurology residents and epilepsy fellows.
Dr. Zhang has published more than 20 papers in leading journals and has presented his work at national and international meetings. His clinical and academic career has been devoted to patient care and epilepsy research.
