As a pediatric and adolescent gynecology subspecialist, Dr. Sokkary focuses on female reproductive health from birth to young adulthood. Patients in this age range often have gynecologic needs that are distinct from adult females. Dr. Sokkary enjoys collaborating with other providers for patients who have rare and unique conditions, including abnormal anatomy and puberty, disorders of sexual differentiation and bleeding disorders. She also has a passion for helping young women through more routine issues, such as irregular menses, polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), ovarian cysts and vaginal discharge.
Dr. Sokkary prides herself in helping bridge the healthcare gap for young women and children who may exist between pediatricians and obstetrician gynecologists. Dr. Sokkary has a particular interest in caring for girls with bleeding disorders and those in need of complex contraception. She looks forward expanding her research in these areas, and serving the young people of Atlanta and surrounding areas.
