Strong4Life Teaching Garden

Patients at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta at Scottish Rite can now enjoy playing in the dirt while learning about wellness and feeling better at the same time.

The Strong4Life Teaching Garden is an organic garden built by Farmer D Organics as a place where patients and their families can go to relax and learn about nutrition and gardening. Classes and activities for patients will be led by child life and rehab specialists throughout the year.

A grand opening on June 23 featured garden tours, cooking demonstrations and an inaugural planting by patients.




 

The Strong4Life Teaching Garden is one more way that Children’s treats the whole child—and the whole family—by tending to their mental, developmental, spiritual and emotional needs.

The name Strong4Life refers to a new Children’s initiative designed to promote nutrition and physical activity to Georgia’s families.
