Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Ranks among “Best Children’s Hospitals” in Nation According to U.S. News & World Report
ATLANTA - June 10, 2014 - Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is ranked among the nation’s top pediatric hospitals in the U.S. News & World Report’s 2014-15 edition of “Best Children's Hospitals.” Recognized as one of the most comprehensive listings of its kind, the report ranks hospitals for excellence in outcomes, program structure and national reputation in 10 pediatric specialty areas—with the survey questions created and refined by content experts in each field.
Children’s ranked in each of the specialty areas, and this year, our cardiac program was ranked No. 4 in the country—with eight other specialties ranked among the top 20, including: cancer, endocrinology/diabetes, gastroenterology, nephrology, orthopaedics, pulmonary and urology.
“Children’s is fortunate to have the physicians and staff who are dedicated to delivering the best care to the children and families who depend on us, and who strive to advance and transform the practice of pediatric medicine,” said Donna Hyland, CEO, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. "We are honored to receive the distinction as one of the top pediatric hospitals in the nation.”
The 2014 edition of “Best Children’s Hospitals” is published online at www.usnews.com/childrenshospitals and will be published in the U.S. News Best Hospitals 2015 guidebook, which will be available in August. “Best Children’s Hospitals” pulls together clinical and operational data from an extensive survey, completed by 179 hospitals.
