Children's Named a Working Mother 100 Best Company

Atlanta, Ga. (Sept. 18, 2012) — Highlighting the top companies that are paving the way for new moms and families everywhere, today Working Mother magazine announced Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a 2012 Working Mother 100 Best Company. Children’s was named to the list due to a variety of positive program offerings, such as flextime hours, telecommuting, paid maternity leave and employee assistance programs. The magazine specifically mentioned Children’s family health and wellness programs, concierge service, tuition subsidies, near-site child care facilities and insurance coverage for the diagnosis of kids on the autism spectrum.
Children’s is recognized alongside only two other organizations in Georgia on the list and is the only pediatric hospital in the country to earn this honor.

The 2012 Working Mother 100 Best Companies application includes more than 500 questions on workforce representation, child care, flexibility programs, leave policies and more. It surveys the availability, usage and tracking of programs, as well as the accountability of managers who oversee them. This year, particular weight was given to child care, flexible scheduling options and advancement programs.
