Bleeding and Clotting Disorders

Together, the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children's Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University offer the Comprehensive Hemophilia Program for Children and Adults and are dedicated to improving the lives of persons with congenital bleeding and clotting disorders by demonstrating excellence in:

  • Providing comprehensive care through an integrated pediatric and adult program
  • Participating in advocacy programs
  • Providing ongoing collaboration and education for families
  • Training and mentoring of healthcare providers at a local, regional and national level
  • Participating in innovative clinical, epidemiological, translational and basic science research designed to provide cutting-edge therapies, and eventually, a cure

In our continued effort to improve the lives of children and adults with congenital bleeding and clotting disorders, the Comprehensive Hemophilia Program for Children and Adults treats a wide range of disorders, including:

  • Hemophilia A & B (bleeding disorder)
  • Thrombosis (clotting disorder)
  • von Willebrand disease
  • Other coagulation and bleeding disorders
