The Children’s Arrhythmia Program treats patients with arrhythmias (heart rate or rhythm abnormalities). This could include patients with:
- A family history of arrhythmia or sudden unexpected death possibly caused by an arrhythmia
- Bradycardia (slower than normal heart rate)
- Supraventricular tachycardia (faster than normal heart rate)
- Syncope thought to be caused by an arrhythmia
- Ventricular tachycardia (faster than normal heart rate that originates in one of the heart ventricles)
