We treat about 350 children and young adults with a range of heart conditions, including heart block (also called AV block), and electrophysiologic diseases, including Long QT and Sick Sinus syndromes.

The parents of five boys, Juanita and Jack Markwalter have had their fair share of visits to our hospitals. When their second-youngest son was diagnosed with a congenital heart condition, they turned to the Children's Sibley Heart Center where Patrick underwent surgery for a pediatric pacemaker. We provide patients with in-clinic or remote analysis of heart devices, as well as pacemaker interrogation readings. We also can offer genetic counseling, if needed.
