Lonnie King, M.D.
Pediatric Emergency Department Physician
Lonnie King, M.D., has been a pediatric emergency department physician at Children's Healthcare of Atlanta since 1999. A cum laude graduate of the University of Louisville School of Medicine, Dr. King began his training in Louisville, KY .where he worked as a pediatric emergency medicine physician and associate medical director of the Emergency Department at Kosair Children’s Hospital.

Dr. King is a diplomat of the American Board of Emergency Medicine and a member of the National Board of Medical Examiners.He is also a member of the American College of Emergency Physicians, American Academy of Pediatrics and Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society.

Dr. King is an accomplished author and lecturer and has written for publications such as Annals of Emergency Medicine and Pediatric Emergency Care.

Cedric Miller, M.D., F.A.A.P.
Pediatric Emergency Department Physician
Cedric B. Miller, M.D., joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta in 1985 as a pediatric emergency medicine physician. He is also currently the president and CEO of Pediatric Emergency Medicine Associates, LLC, a corporation that provides emergency medical services at Children’s at Scottish Rite, Gwinnett Medical Center and Fayette Community Hospital.

Dr. Miller is a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and serves on the System Peer Review Committee for Children’s. His clinical and research interests include deep sedation in pediatric patients undergoing emergency or diagnostic procedures. In addition, he has lectured in various continuing medical education seminars and is involved in the training of medical students and residents in the field of emergency medicine.

Dr. Miller received his Medical Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1979, completed a Pediatric Residency at Emory University in Atlanta in 1983. Prior to joining Children’s in 1985, he served as chief resident in pediatrics at Grady Memorial Hospital. He also was in private practice in Atlanta for one year. Dr. Miller is also an active participant in the medical ministry of his church.

Michael Ziegler, M.D.
Pediatric Emergency Department Physician
Michael Ziegler, M.D., joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta as a pediatric emergency medicine physician in 2001 and he is an assistant professor of pediatrics and emergency medicine at Emory University School of Medicine.Dr. Ziegler earned his Medical Degree at the University of Tennessee College of Medicine. He completed his Residency in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics at the University of California Medical Center in Sacramento.

Dr. Ziegler is a member of the American College of Physicians, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics and a diplomat of the National Board of Medical Examiners.He has also volunteered as a physician in the Maccabi Games, Sacramento Asian Clinic and mission tours to places including Appalachia, Miami, and Trinidad, Tobago and Barbados.

Dr. Ziegler is an author and lecturer and has published articles and abstracts in Pediatrics and the Journal of Pediatric Radiology.
