Cognitive Remediation Sessions

Kathleen O’Toole, Ph.D., ABPP/CN and her postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Neuropsychology offer summer cognitive remediation services from the end of May through July. This program helps preadolescents and young adolescents, ages 9 to 15, who have neurological and medical diagnoses and will be transitioning to adult medical care in the near future. 

The focus of the program is to help the patients and their parents learn the skills needed for increased independence in important areas of executive and adaptive functioning. 

The program takes place at out office near Children's Egleston hospital:

    Krista Scott isn’t just mom when she is at home with her daughter Ashley. She also is her teacher. When Ashley was 8 years old, Krista began to notice a change in her favorite student during their lessons.
