Research Initiative Receives National Award
Lauren Buono, Ph.D., Neuropsychologist, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Center for Craniofacial Disorders, and a group of her peers won the 2008 Best Paper Award from The American Society of Maxillofacial Surgeons. The award-winning paper is titled Neurodevelopment of Infants with Single-Suture Craniosynostosis: Presurgery Comparisons with Case-Matched Controls, and it was published in the May issue of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery®. Kara Kenkel, speech language pathologist, Children's Center for Craniofacial Disorders, was also instrumental in the research and development of the paper.
