Using special software, called PowerScribe, Children’s staff reduced turnaround times by more than 20 hours for every scan.

What does this data mean?
Turnaround time is the amount of time it takes between a scan’s completion and when the report is finished and signed by a radiologist.

Why is turnaround time important?
When a child is sick or injured, every second can feel like a lifetime. That is why we have worked hard to reduce the turnaround time for results for even the most complicated scans to about three hours—when it previously took about a day.
