The Ventilator Program is designed for children and adolescents from birth to age 21 who have sustained injuries or ilnesses that affect their normal breathing patterns. The program is comprised of a multidisciplinary team that works closely with the family to wean their child off the ventilator when possible. When a child must remain on the ventilator, the team prepares the patient and family for a smooth successful transition to home.
