Introduction
Dr. Kathryn Elkins is a board- certified neurologist with special qualifications in child neurology. A native of Louisiana, Dr. Elkins received her medical education at the Emory University School of Medicine, and completed her residency in neurology at Emory University and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
Dr. Elkins specializes in the diagnosis, treatment and management of disorders of the nervous system, and enjoys taking care of her patients and their families. She has special interests in medically refractory epilepsy, autoimmune disorders, the ketogenic diet and the use of electroencephalogram (EEG) in the ICU and inpatient settings.
In addition to providing patient care, Dr. Elkins serves as an assistant professor at the Emory University School of Medicine, and is a member of the American Epilepsy Society and the American Clinical Neurophysiology Society.
