Training the Doctors of Tomorrow
At Children’s, training future providers is critical, because it allows us to have the right care in place for our patients for generations to come. Through our affiliation with Emory University, we have created a destination for pediatric training and continue to draw top talent.
At Children’s, we believe no child should have to travel far from home to receive high-quality care.
That’s why we’re developing the next generation of talented pediatric doctors here in Atlanta.
As leaders in pediatric care, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta is dedicated to taking on the most difficult childhood medical conditions with robust research initiatives. We’re also committed to inspiring and equipping the next generation of leaders. Our training programs help us do both.
Along with Emory University and Morehouse School of Medicine, we’re transforming pediatric care by coming together to answer questions about the most difficult childhood medical conditions through research.
As a training site for Emory's Pediatric Residency Program, Children’s and Emory translate laboratory discoveries into lifesaving treatments for children.
- In the 2020-2021 academic year, more than 720 residents and fellows were trained across 30 pediatric residency programs and 49 pediatric subspecialty fellowship programs.
- The Emory and Children’s Pediatric Institute is home to more than 500 faculty members.
The North Druid Hills campus serves as both a beacon for hope and a magnet for talent, further underscoring our reputation as a destination for those committed to pediatric care and attracting top physicians to our state. Here, more than 600 fellows and residents contribute to our groundbreaking work, taking pediatric care delivery, clinical research and education to a new level.
Our impact will transcend state lines. Strongly aligned with Emory University School of Medicine, Morehouse School of Medicine, and Georgia Institute of Technology, Children’s is uniquely positioned to serve as a national and global leader in taking on pediatric care’s greatest challenges.
