Research is a cornerstone of the Children's Healthcare of Atlanta mission to enhance the lives of children. In conjunction with Emory University School of Medicine, Georgia Tech and Morehouse, Children’s seeks answers to the most challenging childhood medical conditions through teaching and research.

Fighting for the health of Georgia’s kids

Children who are overweight are now suffering from diseases once seen only in adults, such as hypertension, liver disease and Type 2 diabetes. That's why Children’s launched Strong4Life, a wellness movement designed to ignite societal change and reverse the epidemic of childhood obesity and its associated diseases in Georgia.

Having a child diagnosed with cystic fibrosis can be overwhelming for the entire family. Since a child’s life is spent most with his/her family, a crucial element of the Children's CF Program is supporting the family as a whole.

	EventSpotlight Learn helpful tips for caring for the lungs at the upcoming Respiratory Care Night, sponsoried by the CF Facmily Advisory Council. This free event will be held Tuesday, Oct. 25 from 6-9 p.m. in classrooms 8 and 9 at Egleston Hospital.

The Cystic Fibrosis (CF) Family Advisory Council is a group of CF parents that serve as an advisory group to the Emory CF Center and Children's at Scottish Rite Affiliate Program.
