Introduction

Tyler Shirel, MD, joined Children’ Healthcare of Atlanta in 2023 as a Pediatric Physiatrist. Dr. Shirel earned his medical degree at the Medical College of Wisconsin and completed his residency training in physical medicine and rehabilitation at the University of Colorado. Following his residency, he completed a pediatric rehabilitation medicine fellowship at Gillette Children’s in St. Paul, Minn.

Using an interdisciplinary approach, Dr. Shirel works with children and their families to address prevention, diagnosis, treatment and management of congenital and childhood-onset physical impairments.
