ATLANTA (Dec. 23, 2021)Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Peach Bowl, Inc. wrapped up the fifth annual Peach Bowl Touchdowns for Children’s (T4C) fundraising campaign today.

Fans rooting for teams across the nation stepped up to the challenge and raised $238,507, exceeding the campaign goal of $200,000. Thanks to a generous dollar-for-dollar match by Peach Bowl, Inc., a total of $477,014 in proceeds will be added to the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund, which was created to eradicate childhood cancer.

During next week’s Chick-fil-A Peach Bowl game, the University of Georgia will be recognized for donating the most of any team fan base, with a total of $171,846. For raising more money than any other group, members of Allin4C, short for All in for Children’s, will receive the 2021 Anna Charles “AC” Hollis T4C Trophy. The trophy is named in memory of AC Hollis, a former Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorder Center patient and the daughter of Peach Bowl, Inc. VP of Sales Benji Hollis, who passed away from acute myeloid leukemia in September 2018.

“Atlanta showed once again that it truly is the ‘Capital of College Football’ thanks to the countless fans in the city who made a play and helped us surpass our goal,” said Gary Stokan, Peach Bowl, Inc. CEO & president. “It’s amazing that we’ve been able to raise $2.4 million in just five short years and the countless lives that will be positively impacted as a result.”

In September 2019, Peach Bowl, Inc. announced the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund, a historic $20 million gift to the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center of Children’s, named in honor of Anna Charles Hollis. The donation represents the largest gift ever given by Peach Bowl, Inc. and one of the largest ever received by Children’s. The Peach Bowl LegACy Fund has helped fund seven clinical trials hyper-focused on the most promising new drugs and treatment options for children with cancer.

To provide additional long-term funding, Peach Bowl, Inc. has committed to allocating additional dollars from the Peach Bowl T4C campaign to further support the Peach Bowl LegACy Fund and its future efforts.

“College football fans once again delivered for our patients and families being treated for pediatric cancer,” said Dave Winokur, Development Officer, Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. “Children’s is so fortunate to have amazing college football fans and supporters on our team helping to make kids better today and healthier tomorrow. Thank you to Peach Bowl Inc. for their fifth consecutive year supporting the Touchdown For Children’s program.”

Peach Bowl T4C has now raised a total of $2,457,028 in its first five years.
