If you would like to contact a patient, please call 404-785-KIDS (5437) and give the first and last name of the patient. You will be connected to the patient's room. Please note that patients have the option of making their hospitalization status private. In that case, we will not be able to connect you to the patient's room or even to confirm that the patient has been admitted to our hospital. Thank you for understanding.

You may use your personal cell phone in designated areas and patient rooms. Look for signage to direct you. We ask that you not use your cell phone in a patient room when clinical staff members are present.

For your convenience, there is a cell phone charging station available at the library at both the Egleston and Scottish Rite Hospitals. The library is open from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m.

Here’s how to make a call from any of our hospital phones:

  • For outside calls: Dial 9 + the area code + the phone number.
  • For long distance calls: 1) Dial 9-1-800-COLLECT; or 2) dial 9-1-800-CALL-ATT (to reach an AT&T operator); or 3) using a private calling card, dial 9 + the number on the card.
  • To call an extension within a hospital: Dial 5 + the last four digits of the number.
  • To call the operator: Dial 0.

Let a patient know you’re thinking of him or her.

For the patients and families at Children’s, it often just takes something small to brighten their day. With SmileGrams, you can send messages of cheer to those who need it most.
