Children love to receive gifts from loved ones. For their health and safety, please follow these guidelines when sending or bringing gifts:

  • All toys and stuffed animals must be new and unwrapped.
  • Handmade items, like blankets and scarves, must be washed in an allergen-free environment and come from a smoke-free environment.
  • Toys promoting violence are inappropriate for the hospital setting.
  • No flowers or fruit baskets are allowed in the Intensive Care Units or the Aflac Cancer and Blood Disorders Center.

Because many of our patients have allergies and other sensitivities, please do not bring any of the following into the hospital:

  • Glitter in any form (glitter glue, glitter stickers, glitter paper, etc.)
  • Rubber/latex balloons—Mylar balloons are fine
  • Treats or other edible gifts

Gifts, greeting cards and letters may be sent by U.S. mail to patients using the following addresses:

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta, Arthur M. Blank Hospital
Attn: Patient's name, Room number
2220 North Druid Hills Road NE
Atlanta, GA 30329

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Hughes Spalding Hospital
Attn: Patient’s name, Room number
35 Jesse Hill Jr. Drive SE
Atlanta, GA 30303

Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, Scottish Rite Hospital
Attn: Patient’s name, Room number
1001 Johnson Ferry Road NE
Atlanta, GA 30342

Mail received after a patient has been discharged from the hospital will be forwarded to the patient’s home address.

You can have flowers or gifts delivered to any of our hospitals via an outside vendor, like a florist shop. The vendor just needs to check in at the front desk, and then a staff person or volunteer will take the gift to the patient’s room.

You can help ensure that we always have a special gift to comfort a child during his or her hospital stay.

The little things can go a long way to make kids more comfortable and secure when they come to Children’s for care. That’s why we keep a selection of comfort items on hand. From teddy bears and blankets to toys and books, we have something to make every patient feel at home.
