Children's Healthcare of Atlanta Hires Chief Investment Officer


New Leader Joins Children’s from Group Health Foundation

ATLANTA (March 22, 2022) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta announced today that Muthu Muthiah will join the not-for-profit pediatric healthcare system as Chief Investment Officer. Muthiah’s first day at Children’s will be Monday, June 20, 2022.

Muthiah comes to Children’s with 20 years’ experience managing investments. In his new role, Muthiah will oversee the Investment Office, which manages Children’s long-term investment portfolio.

We look forward to the positive impact he will have at Children’s.”

Muthiah joins Children’s from Group Health Foundation. As the founding Chief Investment Officer, he was responsible for the oversight and evaluation of investments across the portfolio.

Prior to Group Health Foundation, Muthiah helped manage investments at Emory University, Covariance Capital Management, Spider Management Company, and the Florida State Board of Administration.

Muthiah is a graduate of Rollins College and the Crummer School of Business, where he earned a Master of Business Administration in Finance.
