ATLANTA (April 11, 2018) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta announced today it will open the doors to the Children’s at Chamblee-Brookhaven Urgent Care Center, the not-for-profit pediatric healthcare system’s first urgent care location inside the Interstate 285 perimeter, on April 17, 2018.
Located at the corner of Peachtree Boulevard and Clairmont Road, Children’s at Chamblee-Brookhaven will provide another convenient healthcare option for families in nearby neighborhoods. The new facility in the Parkview on Peachtree shopping center at 5080 Peachtree Blvd., Suite 100, in Chamblee, will have 12 exam rooms and two procedure rooms that will allow Children’s to treat minor illnesses and injuries, while also providing convenience for families.
“We’re very excited to open Children’s first urgent care center inside of the perimeter,” said Patrick Frias, MD, Chief Operating Officer at Children’s. “I’m thrilled that Children’s at Chamblee-Brookhaven will expand access to care for these communities, because every child deserves the quality and expertise provided by Children’s physicians and staff.”
When a family’s pediatrician is not available, Children’s at Chamblee-Brookhaven has board-certified pediatricians and a pediatric-trained staff to care for the urgent medical needs of children and teens seven days a week from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekdays and 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. on weekends. Children’s also offers onsite laboratory and X-ray services to diagnose children and help them get the care they need as soon as possible.
For additional convenience, families can save their spot in line at Children’s at Chamblee-Brookhaven before they ever leave home, the sports field or school. Additionally, the Children’s at Chamblee Primary Care Center, located off Buford Highway and Clairmont Road, will continue to provide primary care services.
