New Seacrest Studios Opens at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Arthur M. Blank Hospital
ATLANTA (October 11, 2024) – Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Ryan Seacrest Foundation celebrated the grand opening of the new state-of-the-art broadcast studio for patients at Arthur M. Blank Hospital today. Four-time Grammy-winning Artist, Producer and Record Label Founder Lecrae and Grand Ole Opry Member and Multi-Platinum, Chart-Topping Country Star Lauren Alaina lit up the room with their smiles as they joined Ryan Seacrest to officially welcome patients into the newest Seacrest Studio. The 1,209-square foot studio offers pediatric patients an opportunity to learn first-hand about the creative realms of radio, television and new media.
Ryan Seacrest, Donna Hyland, Chief Executive Officer at Children’s, and 10 patients helped celebrate the opening of the new studio with patients and their families.
Seacrest Studios are charitable endeavors of the Ryan Seacrest Foundation, which was started by the radio and television star, along with his family. The goal of the foundation is to contribute positively to the healing process for children and their families while in the hospital.
Children’s Egleston Hospital was home to the very first Seacrest Studios, which opened in 2010. There are now 14 Seacrest Studios in pediatric hospitals across the county.

Studies have shown expressive therapies and outlets for children undergoing treatment can positively impact their health. The new Seacrest Studio will play an important role in their healing at Arthur M. Blank Hospital.

Arthur M. Blank Hospital will use a closed-circuit TV system (CCTV) allowing caregivers and young patients to host segments and participate in call-in programs with other patients in the hospital. The new Seacrest Studio will greatly enhance those capabilities, allowing more kids to take part in the broadcast and provide state-of-the-art equipment to create original content.
