Introduction
Alexis Tashima, MD, is a Pediatric Craniofacial and Pediatric Plastic Surgeon at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. Dr. Tashima received a Bachelor of Science in psychobiology from the University of California Los Angeles before pursuing a medical degree from Pennsylvania State College of Medicine. After medical school, she completed residency training in plastic surgery at Pennsylvania State Hershey Medical Center followed by a one-year fellowship in pediatric plastic and craniofacial surgery at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta.
While Dr. Tashima treats a wide breadth of plastic surgery needs for children, she has specific interests in comprehensive cleft care, complex craniofacial anomalies, orthognathic surgery and microsurgical reconstruction.
Dr. Tashima has had the privilege of participating in surgical mission trips to Durgapur, India and Lima, Peru with Operation Smile.
