In the News

She was given minutes to live. 10 years later, she danced to the Britney Spears song that gave her life after brain surgery

After undergoing brain surgery, Meagan Johnson is once again feeling good enough to dance. The Alabama 17-year-old danced to Britney Spears' "Toxic" as she left Children's Healthcare of Atlanta in June. When she was 7 years old, Johnson underwent brain surgery for a serious neurological condition at the same hospital. She suffered a stroke and was unable to speak, but when "Toxic" came on, she tried to dance. She chose the song again 10 years later as she celebrated her recovery.
