Introduction
Chrissy Lopez, MD, joined Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and Emory University as Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in summer 2019. She completed her fellowship training in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology and nutrition at Emory University School of Medicine. She went on to complete a one-year fellowship in advanced pediatric hepatology and transplant hepatology, also at Emory.
Prior to her fellowship training, Dr. Lopez received her Bachelor of Science degree in biopsychology from the University of Michigan. She earned a medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine, followed by her residency training in pediatrics at the University of Michigan. After completing her residency, she spent a year practicing general pediatrics at the University of Michigan.
Dr. Lopez is board certified in pediatrics, and board eligible in pediatric gastroenterology, hepatology, and nutrition, as well as pediatric liver transplant. She has experience and interests in the field of pediatric hepatology including but not limited to general hepatology, quality improvement in liver transplant and transplant immunology.
In her spare time, you will find Dr. Lopez enjoying the BeltLine, restaurants and parks of Atlanta with her husband, daughter and dog.
