Introduction
Cullen Dutmer, MD, is a board-certified Pediatric Allergist and Immunologist at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and serves as Associate Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine. He joined Children’s and Emory in Feb. 2025.
Dr. Dutmer has dedicated his career to delivering quality care to children facing complex health issues. He believes in a collaborative care approach, where he engages thoughtfully with patient families and their care teams to develop treatment plans that are tailored to each patient’s individualized needs.
Dr. Dutmer specializes in caring for children and teens with inborn errors of immunity, also known as primary immunodeficiency diseases.

Research & Publications
Dr. Dutmer’s research interests include identifying and characterizing novel inborn errors of immunity as well as broadening our understanding of clinical phenotypes associated with known primary immunodeficiency diseases. Goals of Dr. Dutmer’s national and international collaborations include optimizing and personalizing treatments in the management of rare immune system disorders.
