Heather Short, MD, is a pediatric general surgeon at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. After receiving her medical degree from Mercer University School of Medicine in Macon, Ga., Dr. Short completed her general surgery residency at Emory University School of Medicine. During her residency training, she completed a two-year research fellowship within the Emory University Department of Pediatric Surgery under Mehul Raval, MD. Her research fellowship focused on clinical outcomes research, specifically enhanced recovery after surgery (ERAS) in children and anti-reflux surgery in infants. In 2021, Dr. Short completed her pediatric fellowship at Emory University School of Medicine.
