Introduction

Mark Mai, MD, MHS, is a Pediatric Intensivist who is also board certified in clinical informatics. He completed both his critical care and informatics training at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia, where he also completed residency. Dr. Mai's primary academic interests focus is on the implementation of predictive analytics models into the pediatric acute care setting. He collaborates closely with data scientists, machine learning researchers and human factors engineers across Children’s and Emory. He is also interested in using electronic health record (EHR) data to improve medical education and to accelerate quality improvement in the pediatric intensive care unit (PICU).
