Introduction

Shanelle Clarke, MD has been with the Children’s Heart Center since 2016. She is an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Emory University School of Medicine and the Associate Director of the Cardiac Intensive Care Unit at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta. She completed her fellowships in Critical Care and Cardiology at Children’s Hospital of Wisconsin at Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee, WI. Prior to that, she completed her pediatric residency at Monroe Caroll Jr Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt in Nashville, TN. Her clinical focus is the care of pediatric patients with congenital heart disease in the cardiac intensive care unit (CICU). She is also is developing a cardiac simulation program for the Heart Center team to promote improvement in multidisciplinary processes and team member communication.
