Building Resilience: A Whole-Child Approach

Building Resilience: A Whole-Child Approach

Clinicians are seeing firsthand a rise in children with behavioral and mental health needs. The Strong4Life Resilience Program is designed to address growing patient needs by helping clinicians engage in consistent, intentional conversations about mental health and providing information on making behavioral and mental health referrals. This first training, Building Resilience: A Whole-Child Approach covers the mind-body connection, and the role providers play in helping youth and families focus on resilience building and emotional development. After at least 50% of pediatric providers in a practice complete this Building Resilience Training, they are invited to order free caregiver and patient-facing materials for practice implementation.

Speaker:
Rachel Whaley, MSW, is a social worker, youth development leader and health equity advocate who provides resilience-building strategies to pediatric providers across Georgia.
