All youth-serving organizations are required to report any suspicion of child abuse in the state of Georgia. Therefore, mandated reporters must be able to recognize risk factors or signs that physical or sexual abuse, neglect, or sexual exploitation may be occurring. The goal of this training is for all participants to learn about the basics of the mandated reporting laws related to child abuse in Georgia—including changes in 2017 to the Mandated Reporting statute—and to review policies and procedures related to reporting suspected child abuse.
