Course Description:
The purpose of this course is to help clinicians recognize the symptoms and best mode of treatment for common pediatric emergencies, such as neonatal emergencies, common sport injuries and environmental emergencies. This course will use both didactic lectures and simulation based scenarios to highlight the most important topics and take home points. In addition, clinicians will learn about what can best be treated in the office versus in the hospital setting.

Children's Healthcare of Atlanta is accredited by the Medical Association of Georgia to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Maintenance of Certification:
An application has been submitted to the American Board of Pediatrics to request MOC Part II Life Long Learning Self-Assessment credit. Registered physicians, physician attendees will receive an email with access to the MOC Part II assessment at the conclusion of the conference. Diplomats of the American Board of Pediatrics who score an 80% or above on the assessment will receive 7.5 MOC Part II Points. Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the activity, with individual assessments of the participant and feedback to the participant, enables the participant to earn 7.5 MOC points in the American Board of Pediatrics’ (ABP) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABP MOC credit.
